How do you book a car with Marrakesh Car Rental?
In three steps and about ten minutes. You send us your dates on WhatsApp, we confirm availability within the hour, and you pay when the keys are handed over. The €500 deposit is agreed in writing before you travel.

Where can you pick up your rental car in Marrakech?
You can collect your car at Ménara airport (RAK), at our office in Wahat Sidi Brahim, or have it delivered to your hotel or riad. Delivery is free anywhere in Marrakech and at the airport.

We meet you in the arrival hall with a name board and the car parked directly outside. The contract is signed there, in about ten minutes. Available 24/7, including night arrivals.
Your hotel or riad
Free delivery anywhere in Marrakech: Guéliz, Hivernage, the Palmeraie or the medina. For a riad we agree a meeting point a car can actually reach — the medina derbs cannot be driven.

What do you need to rent a car in Marrakech?
You need a driving licence in Latin script held for at least a year, photo ID, and to be 21 or over. The deposit is €500 on every car in the fleet, left in cash or held on a card and returned in full.
Minimum age: 21
21 for economy, automatic, 4x4 and 7-seater categories. 25 for luxury models. Licence held for at least one year.
National licence is enough
Morocco accepts national licences written in Latin script for tourist stays. An International Driving Permit is not required.
Deposit of €500
The same on every car. Left in euro cash against a signed receipt or held on a card, never charged, and returned the day you bring the car back.
Insurance included
Collision and theft cover are in the advertised rate. The excess is €700, which is also the ceiling on anything deductible from your deposit.

Where can you drive from Marrakech?
The four drives our customers make most often, from a 45-minute run out to the Agafay stone desert to an eight-hour crossing to the Sahara. Each guide carries the real distance, the driving time and the road conditions.

What else should you know before renting in Marrakech?
How much does it cost to rent a car in Marrakech?
- From €25 a day for a Dacia Sandero or Logan, €35 for a Duster 4x4, and up to €220 for a Porsche Macan GTS. Insurance, unlimited mileage and delivery are included in every rate.
Do you need an international driving permit in Morocco?
- No. A national licence written in Latin script is enough for a tourist stay. If your licence uses another alphabet, a certified translation or an International Driving Permit is then required.
Can you rent a car in Marrakech with no deposit?
- No. The no-deposit option ended on 19 September 2026. Every rental now carries one €500 deposit, left in euro cash or held on a card, and returned in full the day you bring the car back.
Is delivery to Marrakech airport free?
- Yes. We wait in the Ménara terminal arrival hall with the car parked outside, and take the keys back at departures on the day of your return flight. There is no surcharge.
Is mileage limited?
- No, it is unlimited across the fleet and anywhere in Morocco. You can drive down to Merzouga and back via Fes at no extra cost. Only equipped 4x4s are capped, at 250 km a day.
Can you pay in cash?
- Yes. Payment is taken when the keys are handed over, in dirhams, euros or by card. No online payment is required to book.
