How is the €500 deposit taken and returned?
The amount is written into your quote before you travel, then left at handover in cash or on a card. It comes back to you the day you return the car, after a condition report photographed with you.
The deposit is written down before you arrive
You get the daily rate and the €500 deposit on WhatsApp before you leave home. Nothing is taken online, and nothing is decided at the counter.
You choose the form at pickup
€500 in cash, in euros, counted in front of you against a signed receipt; or a pre-authorisation held on your card and never charged. No original document is kept.
The car is photographed with you
The condition report is signed and photographed at pickup, and the photos are sent to you on WhatsApp. The same is done at return, so any deduction is shown against evidence.
The deposit leaves with you
If the car comes back in the same condition, with a full tank and no fines, the €500 is counted back into your hand or the card hold is released in front of you.

What else should you know about the deposit in Marrakech?
How much is the deposit at Marrakesh Car Rental?
- The deposit is €500 for every vehicle in the fleet, from the economy hatchback to the 4x4. No category pays more, and no option reduces it. The amount is written into your quote before you leave home, so nothing changes at the counter.
When do you get the deposit back?
- You get the deposit back the day you return the car. A cash deposit is counted back into your hand during the check-in. A card hold is released the same day and appears on your statement within two working days.
Is the deposit actually charged to your card?
- No. The deposit is held as a pre-authorisation, never charged, and the hold is released on the day you return the vehicle. You can also leave it in cash, in euros, against a signed receipt when the keys are handed over.
What happens if the car is damaged?
- Damage is deducted from the deposit up to the €700 excess, and the balance comes back to you the same day. We photograph the car with you at pickup and at return, so every deduction is shown against evidence.
I was looking for no-deposit rental: why book anyway?
- The no-deposit option cost €7 per day and was never refunded: €49 on a seven-day rental. The €500 deposit costs nothing and comes back in full. You now pay less than before, with the same insurance and the same free delivery.
Do you need a credit card to leave the deposit?
- No. The €500 can be left in cash, in euros, counted in front of you against a signed receipt, or held on a debit card. No currency exchange is needed and no original document is kept during the rental.
